Is the RSPB the right organisation to contact?  

We want to help you as best we can. As there are some wildlife issues we don’t deal with, we’re not always the most appropriate organisation to contact. We’ve provided some alternatives below who may be better placed to help.   

Lost and found pets  

To report and search for lost and found pets, use the Animal Search UK website.

Injured birds and wildlife  

We aren't able to rescue or look after birds or wildlife that are trapped, injured or in distress. These charities can help with rescuing or finding care:  

  • RSPCA: 0300 1234 999 (England and Wales)  

  • Scottish SPCA: 03000 999 999 (Scotland)  

  • USPCA: 028 3025 1000 (Northern Ireland)  

Or search the Help Wildlife website for your nearest rescue centre.  

Concerned about the welfare of a bird in captivity? 

These charities can help with rescuing or finding care:
