A picnic bench and bin is provided by the community at Loch of Funzie car park.
A seasonal viewpoint is open from the roadside at Mires of Houbie- May-August. Please do not obstruct the road. Hide 500m from car park, open April to October.
The hide is accessed via an improved pedestrian access track with passing places to the hide. A gate is in place at the bottom of the track with and accessible handle. Cattle may be present. Natural and uneven ground - sometimes broken, wet and muddy. Inaccessible to vehicles No seating other than a picnic bench.

10 spaces. The car park is situated west of the Loch of Funzie - 400 m from the reserve. Blue badge parking available for 2 cars at the roadside parking area by the hide track.

BBQs are a fire risk, endangering other people and the precious wildlife and habitats here. They are not permitted on the reserve at any time.
There is no visitor centre here and this reserve does not have any staff on site.
There is no cafe or shop here, the nearest place for food and drinks is a local a shop and cafe open seven days a week. The cafe offers hot drinks, filled rolls and cakes.
We recommend you bring your own food and drinks if this is likely to affect your visit.
Restrictions
Assistance and other dogs under close control welcome. This nature reserve is important for wildlife. RSPB Scotland welcomes responsible access, in line with the Scottish Outdoor Access Code. We would ask that you keep your dog under close control, preferably on a short lead, so as not to disturb wildlife and livestock that may be present. This is particularly important during the breeding bird season of 01 April – 15 August.
Assistance dogs are welcome in all parts of the reserve.
