Thanks to the support of volunteers, our car park is open at weekends and Bank Holidays from April-September, 10am-4pm only. It is closed outside of these days and times.
From October-March our car park is closed and locked at all times.
It can be opened for pre-arranged group visits, please get in touch.
20 spaces. No lighting. No height restrictions. Gated pedestrian access at main entrance. Hard-surfaced with unmarked bays.
You are welcome to bring a picnic with you to enjoy on your visit. There are no picnic tables, but there are benches near to the car park for use. Help keep this place safe and special for wildlife and people by taking your litter home with you.
Our small hide can be found 150m from car park. Lowered viewing slot and moveable seating. Step-free level access and surfaced path to hide.
1.5 miles (2.5 km) circular trail way-marked from car park.
Public footpath between Highnam and Bulley villages runs through reserve. Some changes in gradient, including significant slopes to west and north.
Permissive paths links the nature trail to the public footpath (via a very steep hill) and the public footpath to the road to the north of the reserve.
All paths are unsurfaced, mown natural grass, which become muddy in wet conditions. No gates, steps or stiles or other width restrictions.
