How does the RSPB lottery work, and what could I win?

For just £1, you can enter the weekly lottery – drawn every Friday. This gives you the chance to win one of 35 cash prizes. The top prize is £1,000, second prize is £250, three runners-up win £100, and 30 people could win £10.

Plus, every Friday our computer generates one Robin Rollover number. If you have the matching number you’ll win at least £155. If the weekly prize doesn’t have a winner it will be carried over to the following week, up to a maximum of £8,215.

To sign up to play the RSPB Lottery, please call 0330 002 0314 (calls charged at standard rate, Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm).

All players must be over 18 years of age.

If you’re one of our lucky winners, we’ll notify you within seven working days, and your winnings will be paid straight into your account. We also publish the winning numbers online.

What happens to your £1?

Donations from the RSPB lottery help fund our efforts to protect wild landscapes and the creatures that call them home.

The RSPB is a charity that’s been protecting wildlife and wild places since 1889. We look after more than 220 nature reserves, many of which have visitor centres and run events for people of all ages. We fight for stronger laws to protect nature and prevent the devastating impacts of the climate emergency. We use science to help identify species in trouble and find ways to help them. And we’re not limited to the confines of the UK: working with partners, the RSPB is making a difference for vultures in India, the Tristan Albatross on Gough Island, and orangutans in Sumatra.

But we couldn’t do any of this without funding. Our work depends on the generous support of over a million members, as well as corporate partners, charitable trusts, and grants from bodies such as the National Lottery Heritage Fund. Every pound donated is precious and really does make a difference, and all the profits from our lottery go directly towards our work.
