Picnic area in Exminster Marshes Family Discovery Area – about 0.75 mile (1 km), 20 minutes from car park. Two fixed picnic tables and seating. Visitors are welcome to consume their own food and drink here. Help keep this place safe and special for wildlife and people by taking your litter home with you.

Fixed bench and viewing slots including at a lower level at the viewing screen at Exminster. Non-RSPB viewing platform accessed from canal path has no seating and low viewing slots Viewing platform at the end of Powderham nature trail, overlooks reserve, Exe estuary and beyond with two seats and two small steps to access it.
2.5 mile (3.75 km) Exminster Marshes circular walk, which takes about 90 minutes. 1 mile (1.25 km) linear nature trail through Powderham Marshes. All paths, unsurfaced and uneven grass, except section of canal path which is paved, but accessed via a reasonably steep incline.

BBQs are a fire risk, endangering other people and the precious wildlife and habitats here. They are not permitted on the reserve at any time.
There is no visitor centre here and this reserve does not have any staff on site.
Restrictions
Dogs on public roads and footpaths only. Please keep dogs on leads at all times to limit disturbance to wildlife and grazing animals. No dogs allowed at Powderham Marshes as this is a permissive rather than public footpath.
Assistance dogs are welcome in all parts of the reserve.
