Castle Caldwell has a picnic area. Lusty More Island has four picnic tables.

The RSPB does not manage a car park here. Car parking is provided by Northern Ireland Forest Service at Castle Caldwell Forest. No height restrictions. No lighting.

BBQs are a fire risk, endangering other people and the precious wildlife and habitats here. They are not permitted on the reserve at any time.
There are no formal viewing points here. As there is nowhere to shelter, we recommend you dress appropriately for the weather. The lough can be viewed from road laybys along the A47.
