Three viewing mounds overlooking the brackish lagoon along public footpath. A viewing screen overlooking saline lagoon. Grass covered with a gradient of approximately 1:5. Viewing slots at 1.5 m (5 ft), 1.7 m (5 ft 5), and 1.8 m (5 ft 10).
All grass paths, with little change in gradient but uneven in some areas, and variable in width. Can become wet and muddy. No seating other than raised grassy banks.

BBQs are a fire risk, endangering other people and the precious wildlife and habitats here. They are not permitted on the reserve at any time.
There is no visitor centre here and this reserve does not have any staff on site.
There is no cafe or shop here, the nearest place for food and drinks is a cafe inside Pitsea superstore (750m). On second level, lift and ramp available. We recommend you bring your own food and drinks if this is likely to affect your visit.
Restrictions
Dogs are only allowed on public footpaths and bridleways. There are no dog waste bins on site so please come prepared to take your waste home with you.
Assistance dogs are welcome in all parts of the reserve.
