BBQs are a fire risk, endangering other people and the precious wildlife and habitats here. They are not permitted on the reserve at any time.
This nature reserve is closed to visitors, other than on pre-advertised events. However, the rich variety of wildlife living here, along with the beautiful reserve landscape, can be viewed from an excellent network of public footpaths footpaths west of Curry Rivel village.
There is no visitor centre here and this reserve does not have any staff on site.
There is no cafe or shop here, the nearest places for food and drinks are in the neighbouring villages of Fivehead and Curry Rivel, as well as in Langport. We recommend you bring your own food and drinks if this is likely to affect your visit.
Restrictions
Dogs on leads are welcome on the public footpaths around the reserve. Please keep to the designated rights of way only. • Sorry, dogs aren’t permitted on guided walks other than assistance dogs. We ask that you take the waste home with you to dispose of.
