With woodland, reedbeds, grassland, heathland and the wild coast to explore, you can easily spend a whole day at Minsmere. Enjoy family time pond dipping or den building in the woods. Visit the shop and enjoy delicious food on our café terrace immersed in the tranquillity of nature.

Look out for Red Squirrels scampering up trees and listen for the trill of Crested Tits as you explore the magical Caledonian forest. Visit our Nature Centre before heading out for great views over the loch.

Explore a landscape transformed from gravel pit to nature’s paradise. Open water gives way to wet grasslands and reedbeds, meadows and woodland that teem with life.

Explore the heathland, woodland, mudflats, and wetland to see wildlife such as Spoonbills and Dartford Warblers, before refuelling in the Café. Join us for guided wildlife walks and other events throughout the year with our large events programme.

Enjoy spectacular views out to sea from Ellin’s Tower. Look to the skies for rare Choughs - crows with red beaks and legs. After a walk through blooming heather, relax in the café and enjoy a taste of Anglesey.

Look out for dragonflies darting over the ponds and watch birds swoop across the lagoons in the setting sun. Your little ones will love playing in our giant sand pit and wild play area too.

Wander through wetland habitats at Old Moor, with sweeping views from the hides, this family-friendly nature reserve is teeming with wildlife. Enjoy idyllic walks, wildlife watching, pond-dipping plus an adventure playground for kids. 

Enjoy a walk along spectacular cliffs and watch sleek Gannets arriving back to us ready for a bustling breeding season. Watch Short-eared Owls hunting in the grasslands and keep your eyes peeled for our wintering buntings too!
